Kristen Carey

Kristen Carey is a clinical psychologist specializing in the mental health and well-being of adolescents and young adults. She is passionate about fostering understanding of adolescent development and is dedicated to teaching and writing about the unique challenges that arise in navigating this developmental phase. In her psychotherapy practice, Kristen enjoys working with children, teens, and their parents, offering a safe and supportive environment for self-reflection, healing, and growth.

Outside of work, Kristen enjoys spending time with her husband, Frank, and sons, Dash (12) and Grant (8). Though she will often be found cheering on her sons in basketball and flag football games, she also relishes quiet moments hiking the many stunning trails in the Bay Area, where she has lived most of her life.

Kristen holds a BA in Philosophy and Government from Dartmouth College and a Psy.D. from the California School of Professional Psychology.
